AI rivals now get the same item box mix as you: boosts, drafting tows, shields and nitro refills, the odd sludge slick or spin, and only sometimes a weapon. Before, every box they grabbed gave them something to fire.

AI rivals now carry their own nitro tank and fire it on clear straights, saving it up and refilling it just like you. Harder rivals use it more readily, easier ones wait for a full tank. The No Nitro modifier turns it off for them too.

A shield now protects AI rivals from weapons and maluses, and an EMP drains their nitro, the same as it does to you.

Achievements unlocked in a race now show what they were for on the results screen.

The results screen asks how the race was. A quick thumbs up or down is enough, and you can open the feedback form from there to tell us more.

The feedback button is easier to find, and a small dot points out the feedback button and your profile until you have opened them.

New drivers see a single button on the dashboard that puts them straight onto the grid: a short race on the Shibuya Night Loop against easy AI rivals, with no lobby to pick and nothing to set up.

Drivers who signed up with Google are asked once, on the dashboard, whether they want race reminders by email. Either answer is remembered and can be changed in settings.

Crew members can invite their friends to the crew straight from the friends list. Pending invites show up on the crews page, where you can accept or decline them.

Every crew now has a log of everything that happened in it: who joined or left, donations and payouts from the bank, banners, new seats, renames and more. Only members can see it.

The championships page shows how many of this week's series you have completed and where you finished in each, lets you continue a championship you have not finished, and offers to race a completed one again.

35 new achievements: podium finishes, racing streaks, championships, season awards, daily challenges and drops, car mastery, friends and crews, and long-haul milestones for animals, pickups, near misses and more.

The results screen now lists the achievements a race unlocked and the quickest rival your lap just beat on the circuit board.

The top three drivers on each Rivals board are now highlighted in gold, silver and bronze.

The language switcher now shows each language with its flag.

Disbanding a crew now asks you to confirm first and shows how the crew bank will be split.

Every car page now explains how the car drives, where it ranks against the rest of the garage, which circuits suit it best, which guides mention it, and how many drivers own and race it.

Every circuit page now suggests a setup, lists the cars that suit it, notes when the track is wet, and links to the guides that cover it.

The green light now waits until every driver on the grid has loaded in, then drops for everyone at the same moment. A driver whose machine never finishes loading is left behind after a short deadline instead of holding the whole grid.

Drop out mid-race and you get a grace period to reload and rejoin. Your seat is held while you are gone, and only if you do not make it back in time are you marked as not finished.

A host who crashes out or goes quiet no longer ends the race for everyone, and a lobby whose host walks away is handed to the next driver who joined. Drivers who leave the waiting room without saying so free their seat on their own.

Knockout races now classify each eliminated driver by the round they went out in, ahead of anyone who did not finish, and tell them straight away.

A driver who misses the finish or reloads the page is still shown the final classification, and a waiting room that missed the start is sent straight into the race it belongs to.

Your finishing position and what the race paid you now show up even if you reload the page or lose your connection just after crossing the line.

A race that nobody loads into, or that runs past its time limit, now closes itself instead of sitting open.

The win and the podium Apexons now go by the final classification, so the fastest driver wins even when a slower one reports their finish first.

Every lap is now checked sector by sector against what the circuit allows, so a finish or lap record without the full distance behind it is refused.

Race payouts can no longer be paid twice, even when a connection drops and a finish is sent again. A payout that stops partway picks up where it left off, and one driver failing to settle no longer holds up the rest of the grid.

A ghost challenge stake is raced for once and settled once, and it is refunded if the rival deletes their account mid-race.

Shop purchases now check your balance and garage room at the moment you buy, so two quick clicks can never spend the same Apexons twice.

Signing in with Google now asks for your two-factor code when you have one turned on.

Top speed limits were raised to match the fastest cars with a fully upgraded engine and nitro, so a genuinely quick lap is never mistaken for a cheat.

Every car is now built on track from its own real design, so each model has its own shape and silhouette instead of sharing a generic body.

Bots now line up in distinct car models picked to match the pace of the grid, and the same race always gets the same field.

On slower graphics cards the game now lowers its render resolution when the frame rate dips and raises it again once there is room, so races stay smooth without you touching a setting.

Press F3 in a race to cycle the on-screen readout: frame rate and ping, a detailed performance and network view, or nothing at all.

Lower ping in multiplayer: rival positions reach you faster and with less jitter.

Text across the site now meets the strictest contrast standard against the background it sits on. The header, the footer, the tooltips and the public crew, event and season pages were the worst offenders and have all been reworked, so the site stays readable in daylight and for drivers with low vision.

Every public page now carries its own title and summary in all twelve site languages, and tells search engines which language each version is, so a link shared anywhere opens in the language the reader expects.

The race calendar feed is now announced by the page itself rather than by the browser once the page has loaded, so feed readers and crawlers find it without running any JavaScript.

The language switcher and page headings across the public pages were reworked to the same contrast standard.

Reserve a seat on the race calendar and we now email you 15 minutes before the start. Give up the seat and the reminder is cancelled with it.

The homepage now shows the next race on the calendar with a live countdown, how many crews are active, a tour of the garage and the race modes, and a step-by-step look at how a race works.

The frequently asked questions were rewritten, extended and sorted into categories, and are easier to use with a keyboard or screen reader.

The Apex Club: a monthly membership that multiplies what every race pays you, lends you five more garage slots, lets you open more than one free crate a day, and lifts the once-a-month limit on streak repairs. Cancel whenever you like and you keep every perk until the end of the month you have paid for.

A prestige tier of cosmetics for drivers who already own the lot: the Carbon Weave, Liquid Metal and Prismatic paint finishes, and Ice, Toxic and Ultraviolet underglow.

Custom plates and profile themes. Set a plate and pick the accent your public profile is painted in, both bought with Apexons and neither of them touching how a car drives.

Crews can now fly a banner and buy seats past the twelve-driver ceiling, both paid out of the crew bank by the chief.

Invite a driver with your own link. When somebody you invited reaches driver level 5, you are both paid.

You can now buy a pack of Apexons for a friend. You pay, they get the Apexons, and it shows up in their activity feed.

Two larger Apexon packs for drivers who want to skip further ahead.

Race payouts, season and crew rewards, daily challenges and the daily crate all pay less than they used to, and garage slots, repaints and prestige tuning cost more. Apexons were piling up faster than there was anything to spend them on; there is now a lot more worth saving for.

Crews are here. Found one or join an open one, and every race a member finishes counts toward a shared weekly points target. Clear the target and every driver who scored is paid. Crews have their own bank that members donate to and the crew chief pays out.

Seasons now run Monday to Sunday on three separate ladders: your rating, championship points, and what you put into your crew. When the week ends the ladders are frozen, the podiums are paid, and the winners keep a title they can wear beside their name.

A race calendar with fixed weekly events: the Friday Midnight GP on the Ginza streets, the Sunday Touge Run on the mountain pass, and the Wednesday Knockout on the bayside. Reserve a seat and the lobby opens itself at the advertised minute, with everyone who booked told at the same moment.

You can now book a rematch from the calendar. Pick a time, invite friends, and the lobby opens on its own when the time comes.

Daily streaks. Finish a race each day to keep your streak going, and every day on the ladder multiplies what your daily challenges pay, up to double. Miss a single day and you can buy it back with one free repair a month.

A free crate every day, holding Apexons, mastery XP or a paint finish or underglow you do not own yet. What is inside is fixed for the day and shown before you open it, so there is nothing to reroll.

Car mastery now pays out. Every mastery level on a car hands you Apexons and a free tuning point, and levels 5 and 10 also unlock a cosmetic. Your three closest cars show their progress on the dashboard.

A friend activity feed on the dashboard: who won what, who took a lap record off whom, who levelled up and who joined a crew.

The crews, the race calendar and the season ladders are now readable without signing in, with a page for each crew, each weekly event and each finished season.

The race calendar has an RSS feed at /events/feed.xml, so you can follow the weekly races from a feed reader instead of checking the site.

The site menu is now grouped under Explore, Compete and Community. Everything that used to sit only in the footer, including achievements, championships and the new pages, is reachable from the header.

Settings now has a Language section. Pick one of the twelve site languages and it is saved to your account, so every device you sign in on opens in that language.

The language you were browsing in is remembered when you register or sign in, so a new account starts in the right language without touching a setting.

Emails we send now use your saved language instead of always defaulting to English.

The lobby and the shop now ask the database for far less before the page reaches you, so both open noticeably faster, most of all on a slow connection.

New accounts now verify their email address. You get a verification link the moment you sign up, so nobody can register the grid with an address that is not theirs.

You can now choose whether we may email you about the game. Race reminders, daily challenges, championship deadlines and lost records are off unless you ask for them: there is an optional, unticked box on the sign-up form, and the same switch under Email in your profile settings.

Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link, plus the one-click unsubscribe button Gmail and other mail apps show at the top of a message. Account emails such as login codes, password resets and address changes always arrive regardless.

A dedicated unsubscribe page that confirms which address you are turning off, and tells you the account emails keep coming.

Emails now carry the ApexMidnight logo and read better across mail apps.

"Someone beat your lap record" mail now respects your email preferences and a quiet period, so a busy circuit no longer floods your inbox. The Rivals board still shows every record change.

Signing in now opens on the email code tab, with the password tab one click away. The code field comes before the send button, and the button explains what it does.

The contact form is now protected by reCAPTCHA, so real messages reach us instead of drowning in spam.

Fixed an accessibility problem in the language switcher for players using a screen reader or keyboard.

Leaderboards are now public: the global rankings by rating, wins and driver level, plus the current lap record on every circuit, are visible without signing in. Signed-in players still get the friends filter and their own standing.
