Everything you need on the grid
Pick your race, twist the rules
Every lobby owner sets the format and stacks optional modifiers, so no two grids play the same.
Race types
Standard
Classic grid race against other players, with AI rivals filling every empty slot.
Time Trial
A solo run with no bots on track. Chase down your own best-lap ghost.
Elimination
Each lap, the last car yet to complete it is knocked out until one remains.
Modifiers
Power-ups
Item boxes along the track grant boosts, shields, an EMP and the odd self-malus.
Guzzoline
Start on a full tank that drains as you drive. Thread the petrol stations to refuel, or smash in and explode.
Animals
Dogs, cats, wild boar, deer and elephants dart across the road. Clip one and you slow down for a moment.
Grid handicap
Slower cars (lower PI) start ahead on the grid, tightening the field for a closer race.
Headline cars from the 89-car garage
JDM legends and hypercars, each with a real photo. Buy with credits, tune the power, and chase a higher Performance Index.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. ApexMidnight is completely free. Register a driver profile and you can race straight away, no purchase or subscription required.
No. The whole game runs in your web browser using WebGL, so there is nothing to download. It works on desktop and laptop browsers that support hardware acceleration.
Yes. Create a lobby and share it, or join an open room. Everyone connects in real time over WebSockets and the host drops the green light to start the race together.
Every empty slot on the grid is filled by a competitive AI rival, so a race is always full and the field strings out like a real one. You can play solo against AI any time.
Yes. ApexMidnight supports both keyboard and gamepad, so you can plug in a controller for analog steering, throttle, drift and nitro.
Yes. You can drop into a race that is already running and spectate live from the leading driver camera.
Yes. You earn driver XP from every race to climb 50 levels, which unlock higher-tier cars, and each car gains its own mastery as you drive it. Three daily challenges also rotate in for extra credit and XP rewards.
You earn credits from every race and spend them in the shop to buy cars. Higher-tier cars can also need a minimum driver level, so you unlock the field as you level up. Your garage has a limited number of slots and you can buy more with credits when your collection grows.
Yes. Driving a car earns it mastery, which grants free tuning points you spend on power, handling, grip and more. Your changes shift the car performance index, so you can build a setup that suits your driving style.
Every race feeds an Elo rating and the global leaderboards. There are 100 achievements to chase, championship series to compete in, and ghost challenges where you race a rival best lap, with optional credit wagers.
You can top up credits with a card if you want to, but you cannot buy your way past the game. Higher-tier cars are gated behind driver level, which you only earn by actually racing, so credits let you buy sooner but never skip the levelling.
Yes. Add other drivers by username, then invite them straight into your lobby. When a race finishes, the host can rematch the whole grid in one tap.
Yes. There is a guides section covering driving, drifting, tuning and race tactics, plus public driver profiles so you can see other players stats.
