When the highest PI is the right pick
A high PI car is a safe default when you do not know the track or just want raw capability. It will be strong almost everywhere. But on a very tight, technical circuit, a lower PI car tuned for handling can still beat it, because PI rewards total capability rather than fit for a specific layout.
